Yellow Water Cottage nestles in the foothills of the Mourne Mountains in an area of outstanding natural beauty surrounded by forest walks and close to the Yellow Water. The Cottage has a unique location in being just steps away from the Ulster Way, a long distance walkers route. This offers easy off road walking into Rostrevor (approx. 2 miles) via Kilbroney Park and the Fairy Glen, and also access to a series of Mountain Bike Trails.
Yellow Water Cottage is a spacious holiday home with four bedrooms, three with king size beds and one with twin beds (with two additional single beds if required) and a cot. Two of the King bedrooms have an en-suite. There is a fully equipped kitchen that includes a range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and washing machine. There is a wood burner in the living room and a flat screen television in the smaller snug. Towels and bedding are included and wi-fi is also complimentary.
Outside there is a large decking area with seating/eating areas to take advantage of the views across the valley and towards Carlingford Lough. There is also a BBque. The cottage has ample private car parking and is no smoking.
Yellow Water Cottage is the perfect base for a family holiday; for outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, canoeing; for a romantic getaway or for a gathering with friends. Rostrevor town offers much to a visitor – the beautiful Kilbroney Park with the CS Lewis trail, the historic Cloughmore Stone and lots of great eateries and watering holes. Close by are Warrenpoint, Cranfield beach, Newcastle and Greencastle with the ferry port to Greenore if you want to explore Carlingford. Lots to do or just stay put and chill in the peace and quiet of nature
